But: who and why?

Join me, Alex Franquelli, on a riveting journey through a world of words and wanderlust. With over 20 years in London sharpening my writing craft, I've developed a keen eye for detail and a rich narrative style. Now, embracing the life of a digital nomad, my experiences continue to expand, bringing new depth to my work. My portfolio is a vibrant collage of album reviews, live reports, and deep dives into Asian politics, reflecting my diverse interests and expertise.

I'm proud to have been accepted to study an MA in Ethnomusicology at SOAS, an opportunity that promises to further enrich my understanding of global music cultures. This academic pursuit complements my passion for storytelling and cultural exploration. Currently, I'm channelling my creative energy into writing my new novel, an endeavour that unfolds as I travel in my motorhome. This journey is not just about the places I visit but the stories that emerge from them.

In addition to my literary pursuits, my travel blog, Van Alien, offers a candid look into my adventures on the road. It's more than a travel diary; it's an intimate exploration of the nomadic lifestyle and its myriad inspirations. My writings, spanning from thought-provoking articles to engaging blog posts, are not just mere words on a page. They are narratives woven from personal experiences, professional insights, and a relentless pursuit of the truth.

All opinions expressed in my articles are deeply personal, born from a life lived fully and observed keenly. This portfolio is not just a showcase of my professional journey; it's a testament to a life driven by relentless curiosity, a thirst for exploration, and an undying passion for storytelling. Every word is a step on a path less travelled, every story a window into a world seen through my eyes.
